Overview

N-[4-(5-fluoro-6-methylpyridin-2-yI)-5-quinoXalin‑6‑yI‑1H‑imidazoI‑2-yI]acetamide is a synthetic small molecule belonging to the quinoxaline class of organic compounds. It has been studied as an experimental inhibitor of the TGF-beta receptor type 1 (TGFBR1), a serine/threonine kinase involved in TGF-beta signaling pathways. Structural studies and biochemical assays indicate that this compound acts as a potent and selective ATP-binding site inhibitor of TGFBR1, with potential applications in modulating fibrotic diseases, cancer, and other conditions where aberrant TGF-beta signaling is implicated[3][7]. The compound has not been approved for clinical use and remains at the experimental stage.
